Community Based Intervention:
To reduce crime and violence associated with street gangs by providing hardcore street based services including:
- Violence interruption
- Conflict mediation
- Community crisis intervention
- Rumor control
- Family advocacy – victims of violent crimes
Youth Development:
Our program targets students/youths that are “highest at risk” for gang involved violence. Creating opportunities for young people to connect “positively” with others and develop skills needed to make positive, healthy decisions both now and in the future, through:
- Racial tolerance
- Mentoring
- Cultural enrichment field trips
School Based Intervention:
Many conflicts within school settings have been shown to be subsets of previous conflicts stemming from street encounters and/or rumors. Inner City Visions currently provides on campus gang intervention/prevention services at the local schools. Our services include:
- Safe passage
- Coordinated crisis response
- Park programs
- Anti-bullying
